This Chinese proverb has great meaning in coaching.
How often people deliberate, hesitate or question a decision instead of simply taking action.

Do you sometimes feel the same way?
Hesitation and questioning seems to challenge the wisdom of the Chinese proverb and yet a fundamental thought and impulse comes about:

"Dare. Act. Decide."

And that's what coaching is all about. A step taken is a step, perhaps in retrospect a step back or a step sideways- but in any case there is movement in that step.

We make decisions that are the right decisions for us at the moment. And at some point, these decisions have led us to a dead end or a situation that can no longer be grasped with our world view. Then it can be helpful to allow an external view through coaching in a protected space.
